August Class Calendar

Wow! I think this is a first. I actually have samples, pictures and dates ready before the first of the month. I am feeling so good about me right now. There are only 3 workshops at the studio this month, due to softball and last minute “get away” before the school year starts. OK, enough about that, let’s get to the line-up.

August 11th 10AM to 1PM Pop-Up Card Class $15.00
This month we will be using the pop-up tree. Remember, the die is included with the cost of the class! The regular price of this die is $39.00. All supplies are included. I only have 5 of these dies so, the class is limited to the first 5 who sign up and pre-pay. Here is the card we will be making.

August 17th 10AM to 2PM Card Cafe’ $20.00
I have extended this class from a 3 hour workshop to 4 hours. I want you to be able to make as many cards as you can. I add new items to the buffet table every month. New papers, images, die cuts, etc… Feel free to bring a bag lunch or something to snack on since this runs right through lunch time. Please RSVP before the 16th.

August 25th 10 AM to 1PM and 6PM to 9PM  Butterfly Prints Card Class $20.00
Included in the cost of this class are the stamp set “Butterfly Prints” as well as two each of the five cards pictured above. You must RSVP and pre-pay before August 17th to hold a spot in this class and allow enough time for the stamps to be ordered and delivered. The butterfly stamp has a coordinating paper punch. If you would like to order this and get it at the class, the additional cost is $16.95 + tax. Just let me know when you RSVP. Also, one lucky lady from each class will win a package of their choice of Stampin' Up! Rub-ons. (a $10.95 value)

Well, that’s it for August. I will be sure to let you know if there is a Mom and Me workshop on the 15th. If Mags doesn’t have a softball tournament, we will be having the workshop.

Thanks for checking in. XO, Mimi

WOYWW

I love this new Wednesday habit. It is funny what you see on your desk when you look at it through the eye of the camera.

Front and center is a stamp set I picked up at Michaels yesterday. I really don’t have a road trip planned but I HAD to have it so I could “paper piece” the title and cute car. “My name is Mimi and I am addicted to stamps.” It did turn out cute though.

Then there are some butterfly stamps for a class I am working on for August.  Some mini milk cartons for another class I am working on called, Many Mini Milk Cartons. *giggle* I giggle every time I say it. The very last of the tube of hand cream that I had on my desk last week. Now it’s barely a capful left. That’s really all. Kind of boring today. Maybe I’ll have something more exciting next Wednesday. Come back and check.

Thanks for stopping by. XO, Mimi

What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

Yup. That's my desk this morning. It may look messy but, the creating space is clear and ready for some mojo to get flowing.
So, what you see is a stamp set that I intended to make a card with yesterday when a friend came to visit. We ended up chatting the whole time which was really nice.
There is my "new to me" headset phone. I ordered it from Amazon after spending over an hour on the phone with my daughter and killing my neck. I love it!
My new French Manor Cricut cartridge that I have not used yet. Very excited to cut some paper with that.
A pile of photos that I printed last night of my daughter's Birthday weekend. Checks that need to be deposited. Glue bottles being "married" together. Some new nail polish I ordered for my daughter for her Birthday. It was invented by a Mom. A hand creme tube that I had to cut the bottom off of to get the last little bit out of. Much more stuff here and there too.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Wednesday! XO, Mimi

Some Class Samples

I finally took pictures of my samples for up coming classes. Enjoy!

This is the pop-up candle card that we will be doing for the class. Not only will we be making the super cute card, that can be used for any age or gender, but you will also get the Sizzix die to make more of these. By the way, this die retails for $40.00. Stay on the lookout for next month’s pop-up. I only have room for 5 and it fills up FAST!

This sample board is for the class on the 27th. With this class we will be making 2 each of these cards and getting the stamp set “Artful Etchings” for $20.00. You can’t beat that! The stamp set alone is $14.95 before shipping and tax. Remember to RSVP by the 16th if you want to take this class because I have to order the set for everyone. Oh yeah, and one luck person, from the AM and PM class, will win an assortment of the Newsprint paper.

FYI- I have 2 of the pop-up beach chair dies left. They were so popular, I ordered a couple more. They are $15.00. Let me know ASAP, if you want one. This is the card we made with them.

That’s all for now. Have a great Wednesday!

Time to play!

Well, I got the invitations done and my desk is cleared off and it is time to play!IMG_5691

I have considered jumping onto the table and rolling around on the new products first but reconsidered. Not sure the table could hold my weight and if I fell and got hurt it would cut into my play time. Oh well, enough of that, I’m gettin’ busy.

Hopefully I will have something for you tomorrow, to show my productivity today.

I’m very distracted today! Lookie!

I told myself this morning that I would start making invitations for my daughter’s birthday sleepover and get them in the mail, TODAY! The party is next Friday and I only have to make 3. You would think this would be a simple task. For the average person, perhaps. But this is me we are talking about. I even cleared my creating area on my desk and started stamping a few images. This is my desk today.

But then, my UPS husband came for a visit. He is so wonderful, he always brings me gifts and all he wants in return is a smile and a thank you. I think we’ll be together forever. *sigh* OK, back to reality. Take a look at what he brought for me today. He always seems to know what will make me happy.

So, as I sit and create little girl spa sleepover invitations, my eyes keep wandering over to my new toys that are waiting, ever so patiently, for their turn to take up the creating area on my desk.

Thanks for stopping by to listen to my chatter! XO, Mimi

Where's my desk?!

It's the beginning of the month and I am working feverishly on class projects for all of my wonderful stamping friends and loyal customers. As I work, the creating space gets smaller and smaller. I suppose I will need to clean up before the end of the day or run out of space to create on. Argh!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my chaos! LOL! XO, Mimi

Happy Birthday America!

In perfect Florida style, it is raining on the 4th of July. It is rare that it doesn’t rain on this festive day each year. But, since it is only good weather for ducks, I am hangin’ out in the studio, listening to the Glee soundtracks and being creative. I even decided to make up my schedule of workshops for the month. Hey, it’s only the 4th, why rush these things!?

This is what I have come up with, so far:

Saturday, July 10th I will be doing a make and take tag at H2U. This is the 3rd in my Technique Tags Series. If you are a member, I hope to see you there. If you live near Pt. Charlotte, FL and are not a member, what are you waiting for? I have not set the time yet but I will be sure to let you know, as soon as I do.

Tuesday, July 13th from 10 till 1 I will be having a Card Cafe’. For those of you who don’t know what that means, I set up all kinds of card making supplies and idea boards and you create all the cards you can in the 3 hour period. I get a lot of requests for this workshop because of the variety of supplies that are on the “buffet”. There’s everything from Prima flowers, buttons, die cuts to pre cut cards, stamped and colored images and ribbons. The cost of the workshop is $20.00. Please R.S.V.P. no later than Sunday the 11th.

Sunday, July 18th from 10 till 12 I am having a Mom and Me class. We haven’t had one since April. Yikes! I am not exactly sure what we are going to be making yet but I wanted to make sure you mark your calendar in advance. The cost of the class is $10.00 and we always have a fun time. Please be sure to R.S.V.P. no later than Friday, the  16th so I have time to put kits together.

Wednesday, July 21st from 10 till 1 I am having another Sizzix Pop-Up card class. This time we will be using the candle pop-up die. The cost of the class is $15.00 and along with learning how to make a totally cool card, you get to keep the die! Yup! That’s right! This Pop-Up die is regularly priced at $39.99. I only have 5 of the dies so R.S.V.P. fast!

Tuesday, July 27th from 10 till 1 and from 6 till 9 I am having an Ooh La La Cards Class. What’s that you ask? Well, in this class we will be making 10 cards with envelopes using the new Stampin’ Up! set called Artistic Etchings (pg.125 in catalog) and the new Designer Series Paper called Newsprint. You will make 2 each of 5 different card designs (so you can keep one for yourself and give one away) AND get the stamp set to take home. The cost of the class is $20.00 and you must R.S.V.P. no later than Friday, the 16th so I can order the stamp sets for everyone. One lucky person from each class will be taking home a collection of the designer paper we are using!

Well, that’s it for now. I will try to get pictures up as soon as I get them taken.

Today is the day!

Today is the first day of the new Stampin' Up! catalog! Go to my Stampin' Up! website for some wonderful new specials. Click on the link to the left!

A GREAT class!

We had a great class yesterday at the studio. We made 3 cards with the Cricut. But, the best part was how much everyone learned about using the Cricut. I think everyone walked away with a mountain of knowledge. If you need some Cricut instruction, keep your eyes open for another class this month!
